| Abstract: | Today, senior management expects HR to move beyond its traditional, compartmentalized 'bunker' approach to a more integrated, decentralized support function. Human resources is now often based in the operation line units and HR specialists now report to operating business unit managers. The change in leadership expectations is mandating a new role for human resource professionals.
