Abstract: | It is necessary and possible to support China's shipping industry. To do so, this paper puts forward the following suggestions: conducting legislation for the "take-off" of China's shipping industry; adopting a flexible mode of ship building with the nature of guidance; giving direct subsidy for prices of ships in a short time by taking advantage of the unbalance in the development of shipping industry in the world; practising tax-reduction or exemption or unifying the related taxes; concentrating and increasing input in science research and development; encouraging the domestic ship owners and shipping industry to develop jointly new products for China has such a technological base absolutely at present. |
