| Abstract: | It is estimated that by the year 2010 the shipbuilding capacity of Nantong city of Jiangsu province is possibly to reach 0.6-1 million tonnages with 500 ships repaired every year. But the actual figures of the above two are estimated at 0.5 million tonnages and 350 ships. By the year 2005, the output value of its ship building industry will exceed 10 billion yuan, So its becoming a new growth point of the national economic is out of question. Nantong city's ship building industry has had good basic conditions and implemented the strategy of "making introduction at high starting point" and "catching up with and surpassing the world advanced level". Some enterprises's technology and equipment have reached the world advanced level. Moreover, Nantong's shipbuilding industry is rising. |
