Abstract: | A human resources executive is responsible for making recommendations to the board of directors on executives pay. For salary recommendations can be used survey data, but for annual bonus and long-term incentive grants the recommendations can be based on sound business rationale. Considered are the next points: evaluation how much the decisions of the chief executive officer affect the company's long-term performance. Just as the target annual bonus sizes as a percent of total annual direct pay should vary with responsibility, so should the ratio between annual bonus and the present value of an executives long-term incentive grants. |
