Abstract: | The main problems with the existence of China's cereals market lies in the increasingly short supply. Especially since the 1990's there has been a 0.4% annual increase in grain production while the demand for cereals has been rising at a fast speed. On the other hand, the conflict stemming from the unbalanced demand and supply of the cereals varieties is continually worsening, and the contradictions of the unbalanced demand and supply between different regions is also getting deteriorated. There are several countermeasures: 1. firmly protecting farmable land, sustaining the grain seeded area; 2. supporting the grain producing area in economic development; 3. setting up a consummate cereals price system. |
