| Abstract: | Between 1993-1996 the market has grown strongly in volume terms, but market value suffered as a result of increasing commodisation of the market, the general reduction in prices and the declining importance of branded products. The market amounted to 134.4 mn litres valued at 100.5 mn in 1997, a decline of 4% by volume and of 7%by value compared with 1996. Standard oils account for 90% of total liquid oils market volume. However, their value share is significantly smaller. |
