| Abstract: | This special issue is the third in its journal series. An FMEC book is also forthcoming. The special editor was approached by the editor-in-chief, Professor Melvin F. Shakun, based on work presented on the 2001 FMEC workshop, which was held in June 2001, in Oslo, Norway. However, in putting together the special issue, an open call for papers was conducted, inviting interested scholars to submit a two-page proposal for their work. Several proposals were then selected and the authors were invited to submit the full papers for fast track reviews. Each paper was reviewed by at least two anonymous referees, in addition to the reviews of the special editor and senior editors. Six papers were chosen for inclusion in the special issue. |
