Abstract:This case study explores the "protest game" played between the animal rights protesters, Huntingdon Life Science(s) (as: HLS, which is one of Europe's largest animal testing firms), and its business partners. In the first section, described are the interactions btw. the parties of the dispute. Negotiation analytic concepts are applied to better explore the structure of the game, the alternatives available to the players, and the psychological heuristics and biases influencing in the decision making. It is concluded suggesting alternative ways in which the protesters and the life sciences industry could resolve the dispute.
