| Abstract: | Artificial intelligence has been the topic of ungoing research efforts since the 1950's, and expert systems are the most promising application areas of artificial intelligence. But, what is the perception of users and managers toward the practical issues involved in developing strategies and implementing policies for their expert systems? This article presents a more comprehensive view of the usage and value of current expert systems, as seen by managers and users, in order to describe the collective benefits of this technology. |
