Entrepreneurs tell us that the key to success in business is spotting a gap in the market and filling it. If that's true, then whoever spotted the gap that needed to be filled by a tiny dollop of lanolin and nut oil in a flashy pot must have been a true genius. The worldwide skincare and cosmetics industry is worth $7obn a year. And yet this huge industry has grown out of what amounts to luxury products. |
