| Abstract: | This is a Special report article. According to the latest Accountancy survey, accountants (henceforth as: accs.) are tightening their grip on the boards of the largest companies in the UK. The number of accs. in senior positions in the FTSE 100 has increased, with 80 percent of the companies employing a finance director (or FD) with an accountancy qualification. The ICAEW still dominates the list, more than 50 of the FTSE 100 finance directors are members of the institute. |
