| Abstract: | The paper develops a framework for assessing corporate social responsibility of internationally operating banks. The framework is applied to over 30 institutions. The findings of the analysis indicate notable differences among regions, countries, and individual banks. Moreover, the study discovers that social responsibility of these banks has significantly improved between 2000 and 2005. |
