Abstract:Cadbury, the chocolate producer will launch its biggest ever offensive on the assortments market. The history of three new selections is traced. The response to traditional English chocolates was terrific. Now they are overtaking the Belgians. From the research Cadbury conducted the first conclusion was that woman-to-woman gift was a great opportunity. And the second that men are at least as important customers as woman. Different boxes were designed as well as varied recipes had to be elaborated. In the firm's new product development it should be considered that confectionery isn't mainstream food. It's half way between food and fashion so innovation is of key significance.
