| Abstract: | Increasing complexity of the business environment, sharper competition, changing consumer demands, technological advances and greater globalisation of business have made the jobs of managers more complicated. This is especially so for general managers of multinational subsidiaries, who have to cope with the additional international dimension of these problems. Some form of explicit strategic management process is important in dealing with these changes in industry evolution and in the broader environment with which the subsidiary managers have to cope. |
