| Abstract: | The deep crisis of the state owned French computer manufacturing company, the Bull, is analyzed. The firm, which has a got a new president, Bernand Pache , for nine months, is not able to survive without considerable state subsidies: 13.5 Mrd FRF in ten years. Its deficit in the last three years reached 15 Mrd FRF. The annual costs of the debt of 9.4 Mrd FRF is 1.3 Mrd FRF. The history and the main reasons of the recent disaster of the Bull are described, the mistakes its leaderships have done are analyzed and the possible future of the firm is examined. It is argued that the new president has got no definite notions concerning the reform of the company. |
