| Abstract: | This article concers electronic commerce operations of the firms. The main question behind this article is whether there is an noticeable pattern in how firms obtain new electronin commerce capabilities. A supply pattern hypothesis is build. Also two case studies of Compaq and Dell are presented. Finally ramifications for electronic commerce are discussed. |
