| Abstract: | No organisation is so all-knowing that it cannot learn from counterparts in other industries. The author of this article describes a consortium of 8 blue chip companies that have used a self-directed learning approach to management development. The range of talent available among managers of these 8 unrelated companies has been harnessed to provide mutually beneficial training programmes. |
