Abstract:Both China and East Germany have been carrying out the transition from the traditional planned economy to the market economy , but different steps have been taken owing to their respective national conditions. To maintain the stability of social economy, the East German government takes advantage of the abundant financial solvency and the support of West Germany to realize its employment system conversion, while China exerts efforts to gradually relax the severe administrative control and split which used to hamper the human resources and enthusiasm. As for the policy of labor market, East Germany flexibly regulates the supply and demand of the labor force through the adjustment function of the market , establishing both the supply and the demand management patterns according to the market.
