Abstract: | The authors empirically examine the state of art in HRM research through questionnaires send to HRM scholars around the world. The scholars were asked about their particular theoretical and methodological approaches. The authors Based on the questionnaire it is found out that scholars are progressively leaving the universalistic perspective and completing their models with contingent and contextual variables. In addition, it is found that the field of research in HRM can be described with three dimensions: subfunctional, strategic and international. It is concluded that HRM reserach must advance concurrently in these three dimensions to provide reliable explanations and valid responses to professional problems. |
