Abstract:The development is taking place faster than we are able and ready to comprehend.For this reason, there is a danger of an increasing gap between developed economies and those which would like to become so.The Slovenian economy should, threfore, transfer the verified models of development, marketing and management into practice more rapidly and, above all, without prejudice and ideological barriers.The experiences show that success of the company was based pre-eminently on a long-term vision leading towards a competitive advantage.This advantage was proved by a better ratio of costs in comparison to competitors or to bigger benefits for the buyer of a product of service, and occasionally in both being a perfect combination.In so doing, it is necessary to point out the knowledge of a continuous increase of competitiveness , this is only possible on grounds of: - long-term vision, - created and adjustable strategy, - performance and operational strategy in all the elements , of business operation, - ability of administration and management and - corresponding organization.There is an abundance of professional reasons and experiences for the entire and planned undertaking or operation.
