Abstract: | This paper makes an objective analysis of marketization process of foreign trade and the existing problems in China. Then it puts forward the following strategic suggestions on the marketization process of foreign trade in the late 1990s: 1. accelerating the implementation of "large-scale economic and trade" strategy; 2. developing direct trade and international technological cooperation in various forms; 3. speeding up service trade opening and establishing ad hoc guiding and coordinating departments; 4. reforming import system and establishing a mechanism favourable to improving import structure and promoting the introduction, digestion and innovation of technology; 5. expediting the development of information industry of foreign trade in a bid to realize paperless trade soon. |
