Abstract: | The findings presented here are drawn from a large-scale study of the cross-cultural diffusion of U.S. and Japanese work practices. The study began as a doctoral seminar in field research methods co-taught by a U.S. professor and a Japanese professor, but has continued as an intensive research effort for more than two years following the conclusion of the seminar. We did not select the sample by type of team system, though we ended up with an interesting variety of team systems. |
