| Abstract: | This paper presents a study examining the economic impact on European Union (EU) countries of the U.S. trade policy. There is included discussion on the banana imports of European countries, the background on the Lomé Convention, and agreements made by the European community regarding the importation of bananas. Included are details on the dispute btw. the U.S. and the EU over banana trade, with analysis of the importation of Pecorino cheese from Italy by the U.S. |
