| Abstract: | Extensive use of technology is critical to profitability and growth. Both can be imperiled, however, if employees do not fully buy in or resist the move to automation. As organizations move from a mainframe environment to a more decentralized use of technology, user acceptance becomes a key concern. By planning for human and technology factors, conversion can achieve the desired business results. Whether technology is used for forecasting, electronic mail communications, report generation or other purposes, it cannot be considered neutral. |
