| Abstract: | By the year 2000, China's bureau-used program-controlled telephone exchanges and mobile exchanges will reach 0.16 billion and 56 million gates respectively according to the development plan. In 1999, 10 million gates of mobile telephone exchanges will be added with a market scale of 25-30 billion yuan. The demand for telephones will reach 40 million, among which mobile phones will possibly account for 10%. Telephone will have an annual market scale of 8-10 billion yuan. By the year 2000, fax users will reach 2 million and in 1999, there will be 0.4 million newly increased users and a market scale of 1.5 to 2 billion yuan. Calculated by an annual output of 1 million micro computers, about one million sets of modem will be possibly needed to equip them in 1999 with a market scale of 1.5 to 2 billion yuan. |
