| Abstract: | This article discusses the involvement of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in the Republic of Bulgaria. The focus is on the development process and the variety of activities available to institutions of higher education in the United States. The approach taken by Southern Illinois University at Carbondale is by no means the only way to accomplish international activity. This University has had the unique opportunity, coupled with an extraordinary chain of events, to be in the right place at the right time. |
