Abstract:Women are starting businesses at an historic rate in the United States. This article examines the background factors explaining the current development. Stories of women entrepreneurs are presented and analyzed. For example, some women start businesses with nothing. In addition, doing things one's own way and taking a better care for employees are motivators of some women entrepreneurs. All in all, businesses started by women are affecting business world significantly.
