Abstract:Total quality management necessitates the cooperation and enthusiasm of all employees. Implementation issues are examined, including inspection of the process, rather than the outputs; co-operation; human resource; management; communication. The ideas of Dr W. Edwards Deming, USA management scientist who helped to rebuild the post-war Japanese economy as an adviser are expounded. The implementation of total quality management (TQM) into an organization requires fundamental changes in many managerial attitudes, along with the elimination of many prejudices pertaining to the work environment. The essential mission of TQM is ensuring the continual improvement of quality in every organizational process.
