| Abstract: | In 1987, The Hudson Institute stunned corporate America with a study done for the U.S. Labor Department, Workforce 2000", which ccncluded that fully 85 percent of new entrants into the work force between now and the end of the century will be comprised of members of minority groups, women, and immigrants; that is, only 15 percent will be white, native-born males. With already working white males retiring in record numbers, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that by the year 2000, the American work force will be 47 percent female and 26 percent minority. |
