Abstract: | Micro-enterprise companies (ME) comprise the majority of Western European firms and constitute a rapidly growing number of new firms in the former communist countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This study sketches an economic framework for MEs by postulating the political, economic, and legal environment, industry and firm characteristics, and cultural/entrepreneurial influences conductive to ME diversification: and, by crafting archetypical formations of diversified MEs in Eurasian transnational economies. |
