| Abstract: | It is proposed that differences (here as: diffs.) in the scope of related diversification in firms can be explained by diffs. in their dynamic capabilities (as: dyn-capbs.) Analyzed are more than 250 Norwegian small firm accountancy practices' possession of key dyn-capbs. incl. the heterogeneity of their human capital, their internal development routines, and their alliances with complementary service providers. In addition, also analyzed is the influence of strategic choice. While no clear effects for these two latter factors are found, it is found that dyn-capbs. have a distinct impact on the scope of services. |
