| Abstract: | By studying the behavior of diversified international companies,an inconsistency can be exposed between the financial criteria determining the choice of investments and the strategic model employed. According to the analysis carried out in this field,the main reason for difficulties encountered by diversified multinationals in the strategic investment is the absence of a standardized general theory. A model is proposed,which would make strategic investment both a factor of flexibility and an essential tool for managers that can promote to reach the company's long-term goals. |
