| Abstract: | The results of a study investigating how managers are achieving fit between corporate strategy and the labor relations function, are presented. Challenges from the internal and external environment are defined and illustrated. Light is thrown on the effects of portfolio decisions on labor relations, and labor relations departments are shown in decline. Single and multibusiness companies are compared. A note on research methodology is given as an appendix. |
