| Abstract: | Experience shows that the inadequate planning and control of working capital is one of the more common causes of business failure. And yet the management of working capital is a neglected subject which has been all too little investigated or written about. The notion of working capital defined. Major advances have been made in developing new techniques for longer term investment and financial decisions, but far less attention has been paid to the short-term capital requirement.
