| Abstract: | The development of and the sharp competition in the German mobile telecommunication market are considered. The network the equipment, the fees and the different producers available are described. While Telecom and Mannesmann have been established in the business for several years, BMW and Veba are competing now for the licence for a new network. One of the two latter companies will be the third firm opeating mobile telecommunication network. The new network promieses enormous benefits: ten million customers and a turnover of 200 billion DEM are expected. |
