| Abstract: | The main goal of this paper is to investigate the functional form of earnings and prices using US and Finnish data. In addition, the authors investigate whether the observed deviations from the proportionality assumption can explain the so-called E/P anomaly. If this is the case, it means that the observed E/P anomaly is caused by the same effects as share price and firm size anomalies. Typically, these anomalies have been explained by risk measurement and liquidity problems. |
