| Abstract: | The paper reports on a schematic classification theory to be used as a guide when setting out to read concrete sign processes, i.e. it is intended to help to see correlations between one sign process and another. Most forms of visual representation are a mixture and intersection of some of the items, thus the classification may function as a compass guiding the interpretation of the principles which control visual signs. |
