Abstract:Banks must move fast to develop flexible systems to meet credit risk requirements. The Group of Trinity (G30) recommendations on derivatives risk have created big problems for risk managers, and information technology (IT) departments. By calling for the development of systems, to measure and analyse market and credit risks on a global and consolidated basis, and for the integration of front and back-office systems covering all derivatives instruments, the recommendations are almost forcing banks to upgrade old systems and work on systems integration projects of civil engineering size.
