Abstract:The concept of "learning" has been much vaunted of late. Managers earnestly discuss the Learning Organization as something highly desirable to import into their own companies. Books and journals purchased, workshops attended, and the intellectual concepts are used as a focus for change. However, as Karl Marx pointed out, "The philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways; the point, however, is to change it".
