| Abstract: | There always existed clerics who were pursuing, if not initiating, economically potent political agendas. In the United States many ministers stood at the forefront of efforts to eradicate discrimination; Martin Luther King is only the best known. It is one thing to pursue a focused economic agenda, another to have a broad economic philosophy, and still another to participate in the development of economic thought. |
