Abstract: | Hospitals and other healthcare facilities are under the gun today to reduce costs yet maintain the quality of the services they provide. Children's Hospital in San Diego instituted a continuous quality improvement program in which it identified areas of high costs, set goals for improvement, and achieved good results. This article tells the story. |
