| Abstract: | At present, the growth of demand in the rural market has began to be accelerated and the prospects are good. But unlike the urban market, the consumption level of the rural market is still low. The challenges we have to face in developing rural market are backward infrastructure facilities, outstanding structural contradition of commodity supply and demand, imperfect circulation organizations and small space for rise in grain price. In 1998, the rural market will present the following basic trends: The industrial consumption products and peasants' residence will be in great demand. The expense for durable consumption goods will increase. The situation in marketing of productive resources will tend to be good. Market competition will become more intense. |
