| Abstract: | The reform of the economic system has developed from expanding the role of market mechanism to establishing the socialist market economy. Promoting the reform in a progressive way and never attempting to succeed once for all may avoid serious social repercussion, deepen the reform open wider to the outside world, as well as realize the stable transformation of economic system under the condition of social stability. The focus of the reform of the economic system has expanded from the reform of economic operational mechanism to the reshape of market subjects. Enterprises are separated from government and the functions of government are being changed. The most outstanding character of the reform of Chinese economic system is that great importance has always been attached to the relationship between reform, development and stability. |
