| Abstract: | In the article, findings of case studies at three large manufacturing companies are reported. Each of the firms were involved in significant strategic initiatives in either production or marketing at the time of the case study. It is shown in these studies how an activity-based analysis provides insight into the effects of these strategic initiatives on costs, profitability, and productivity. |
