| Abstract: | Countries in transition have viewed membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO), within which the rules for the conduct of international trade are set and administered, as an important step on the road to establishing market economies and as essential to their full integration in the international economic system. The objective of this article is to analyze the WTO accession process, with a focus on the transition countries, especially those of the FSU and CEE. |
