| Abstract: | The subjects of this paper are structural adjustments in economic policy, agriculture and state in European Union countries. The paper investigates the financial consequences of the required reforms in the agricultural and structural policies of the European Union (EU) in the accession of candidate Eastern European countries. The author of the article considers the amount of operational expenditure in 2007 if the EU is not enlarged. The paper also pays an attention to the net burden per capita for Germany in an EU with new members and to the advantage of structural policy reform on the EU accession candidates. |
