Abstract:The Examination Boards awarding i.e. A-levels began in the 19th century as university committees dedicated to ensuring high and trusted standards for education. Progressive government intervention has led to a decline in the credibility of the exams. This paper deals with how this has happened and what can be done to maintain standards in the future.
