| Abstract: | There is a growing body of theoretical and empirical studies that have examined issues relating to the valuation, utilization and management of plant genetic resources (PGRs). Relevant lessons from this literature for animal genetic resources are summarized in this article. There are strong similarities between plant and animal genetic resources both conceptually and methodologically. |
