Abstract:There is a need to redefine the role of business in society, and central to this discussion is the frame of reference of the entrepreneurship. It has traditionally been defined as being based on endowing resources with new wealth producing capabilities. This article defines entrepreneurship as a calling to endow resources with new value. It draws upon previous writings and emphasizes applying the discussion of bias to the discussion of ethics in business. The argument is that "lifesized" entrepreneurship can act as a catalyst and play a key role in countering bias and repositioning the role of business in society.
