| Abstract: | In order to explore the ways that the principles of Foucault's heterotopia are articulated by users of a gay nude beach, serving as an erotic oasis, this study uses a covert ethnographic approach involving non-participant observation. The results provide a unique flash into the role of beach, body and sexuality in the tourism experience, unlocking the complexities and intertwinements of deviant beach use. |
